"Three reasons that the Reverend Jerry Falwell outed TV's beloved Tinky Winky Teletubbie for being a secret gay role model for preschoolers:

1. He totes a purse but has a male voice.  2.  His purple tint is the color of gay pride.  3. His antenna is shaped like a triangle, the symbol of gay pride."   They are also the three reasons the reverend proved to be a complete idiot."

~ David Mansour, From ABBA To Zoom: A Pop Culture Encyclopedia of the Late 20th Century

7.5" purple Tinky Winky Teletubbie plush doll produced by Playskool in 1998.  This little guy was originally purchased by me.  He was never played with, only displayed on a collector's shelf with other gay icon characters.
